Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin awarded Nigerian Ambassador Abdullahi Y. Shehu with the medal “For Spiritual Unity”

   Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation and the Council of Muftis of Russia, received Mr. Abdullahi Yibaikwal Shehu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Russian Federation, on the occasion of the forthcoming end of his diplomatic mission.
   Mr. Abdullahi Yibaikwal Shehu thanked the spiritual leader of the Muslims of Russia for cooperation and expressed hope for the continuation of relations between the DUM of the Russian Federation and his successor as Ambassador. 
   According to our press service, during the meeting the Mufti awarded the diplomat with the medal of the Muslims of Russia “For Spiritual Unity”. 
   The decree signed by Mufti Ravil Gainutdin notes that the award was given “for fruitful activity in strengthening Russian-Nigerian cooperation in religious and educational spheres, for contribution to the expansion and deepening of contacts and ties between the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
