His Excellency, (Prof.) Abdullahi Y. SHEHU, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Russian Federation and Republic of Belarus, met with correspondents of the Russian Information Agency Sputnik; Mr. Amin Shayya-Shirokov and Ms. Diana Al-Hashem (Middle East and Africa News Desk of Sputnik International).
His Excellency, answered questions on number of issues of interest to the Russian Press, particularly on the recent visit of some senior Military officials from Nigeria to Russia on issues connected to the Russian-Nigerian security cooperation, during the 7th International Military-Technical Forum – Army 2021 and also about Military -Technical Cooperation Agreement, signed between both countries.
Other issues discussed are Russian-Nigerian energy relations (cooperation with Russian companies Lukoil, Rosatom, etc.)
Amb. SHEHU and the represented journalists express hope to continue cooperation between the Embassy of Nigeria in Moscow and Sputnik News Agency, a major media outlet in Russia.
