INDEPENDENCE DAY MESSAGE FROM NIGERIA’S AMBASSADOR, PROF. ABDULLAHI SHEHU
Today, 1 October 2022 marks the annual Independence Day Celebration of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a nation bound in freedom, peace and unity. As usual, the day offers another opportunity for us as Nigerians to reflect on nationhood.
Without doubt, the journey has been characterized by opportunities, challenges and prospects, which have brought out the resilient Nigerian spirit of perseverance, industry and abiding faith that the country will be great.
While we express joy and celebrate the 62nd Independence Day Anniversary of Nigeria today, it is important to reflect on the issues that affect us as a nation and find cause to celebrate our unity.
On this auspicious occasion, let me encourage my fellow Nigerians in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus to be law abiding and to be good ambassadors of Nigeria in their respective host countries. I wish to reassure our citizens of the Embassy’s continued support and assistance.
