How I imagine Nigeria, Art Exhibition

On 14th July, 2022, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Moscow, in collaboration with LUKOIL, organized an art exhibition of young Russian artists, themed “How I imagine Nigeria”. The exhibition was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, Vice President of LUKOIL, Head of the Moscow Museum of Modern Arts, Chairman of NIDO-Russia and members of the Nigerian Community in Russia amongst others.
In his remarks, H.E. Professor Abdullahi SHEHU, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Russian Federation with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Belarus informed that the event was organized in order to strengthen the cordial relations between Nigeria and Russia through citizens/cultural diplomacy.
Furthermore, he expressed appreciation to the management of LUKOIL for their invaluable support. He stated that the exhibition was a clear attestation of dedication and natural talent of the artists, who were able to project Nigeria in their various art works without having travelled to the country in the past.

At the end of the event, the winners in the various categories were awarded prizes and certificates.
