The second Russia–Africa Summit was held at the Expo Forum in St. Petersburg, Russia from 27 – 28 July 2023. The Nigerian delegation was led by H.E. Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The visit of the Vice President was quite significant as it afforded the Nigerian delegation to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral relations at all levels, within the framework of the close ties between Nigeria and Russia. Both countries will continue to strengthen their cooperation and intensive collaboration on issues of common interest.
