FREE CRYPTO CURRENCY ECONOMIC ZONE IN NIGERIA
The Nigerian Ambassador in the Russian Federation with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Belarus, Professor Steve Ugbah on Thursday, January 25, 2018, met with the representatives of Freeland Investment, President and Co-Founder, Mr. Nikolay Batalin; and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-Founder, Mr.Evgeny Mukhin on the possibility of establishing the “Free Crypto Currency Economic Zone” in Nigeria.
During the meeting the President and Co-Founder, Mr. Nikolay Batalin informed the Ambassador that they are interested in setting up the first “Free Crypto Currency Economic Zone (FCEZ)”, a crypto heaven in Nigeria and to know Nigeria’s interest in the project. He explained that within the Zone, companies would be able to legally do their businesses in open and transparent blockchain technology, and enjoy low taxation and different technologies for their businesses. He further stated that in the FCEZ, they would build a financial infrastructure for the crypto market and five businesses to drive it.
In his response, the Ambassador informed Freeland Investment that Nigeria is seriously discussing crypto currency; and that currently, crypto currency trading is going on in Nigeria. He promised to do everything legally possible to help them achieve their objectives.
